Hyarama Forum

We will not accept postings or other communications from any person under the age of 18.

If you are new to forums, read the Tutorial as well. You will need to register before you can post in the forums, and to register, you will need this VIP number:

Normal courtesy and rules please - see below. Sensitivity to different points of view is essential. We are handling material that can shock or equally well, merely titillate. We can never hope to please everyone but we hope to practice courtesy. In fact, we need a heightened sense of courtesy. One golden rule is to own "My Truth" rather than claiming to know "THE TRUTH". This gives others a chance to respond positively without feeling put down.

We may in time set up a regular weekly "chat" time, also we have a private forum for "power workers". We would be glad of help and friendly support, in maintaining and moderating the forum which we believe will be important . Although there are few people posting so far, we intend to keep the Forum open as we know that there are many more who are just reading, and we believe its time will come...

Forum Tutorial

Go to Forum takes you to the Forum "Home Page". From here you can browse all the subsidiary "forums" shown grouped under "categories" (the silver bars). Each "forum" opens up to show all the "topics" listed under that particular "forum". Each discussion is a "Topic" or "Thread" started by a member and given a title. Others will reply if they are interested. You can read all the "posts" on all these "topics".

If you want to post contributions yourself, you need to choose a "User Name" and a password. Choose a "User Name" you can live with and a password you will remember! Click on "Register" at the top of the page. Fill in the form. This lets us know that you have applied and, if we are happy, we will enable you to use the Forum.

Read "General Courtesy" and, if you need to be quite sure of your ground, read the "Rules" as well.

Forum: General Courtesy

If you are wanting to post your ideas, questions, etc, on a new or existing topic or so-called thread, lurk first, hang about for a while and read the general style of posting that is accepted here before posting yourself.

The point of "lurking" is to pick up the feel of what you can or can't do or say. Courtesy is very important in Internet forums where we do not see people face-to-face, and where experienced users are aware that, in addition to wilful misusers, we can all say inappropriate things at times. We need to handle human situations and extract ourselves so that "everyone wins".

If your reply is not a positive contribution to the topic, it may be removed; from experience this can arise where contributors derail the original topic into a circular feud. But only wilful offenders will be permanently removed or blocked, after having received fair and courteous warning. Read the Rules for further details.

Porn for its own sake, or for monetary gain or reward, or at anyone's expense, is not tolerated here. Yet we must leave adequate room for discussing such issues intelligently, openly, and with courtesy! Words with sexual contents that are not normally allowed on forums may be used here, so long as they are used to inform and help but not to abuse, swear, or denigrate.

Nancy Friday's books are a good model for handling sexual issues in psychologically ok ways - even though she does not deal with awareness of spirituality in sexuality. (One title is Men in Love - Men's Sexual Fantasies - the Triumph of Love over Rage). One does not need to agree with her to recognize good models of courtesy.

We hope this helps you start off with the best. And if a topic is important to you, speak up - we can only put in our suggestions for improvement when we have your post to reply to.

Forum Rules

1. Please try to keep your postings clear, simple and respectful of other users. Please use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Style should be consistent with "normal writing": no excessive use of emoticons, coloured text, SHOUTING or punctuation (e.g. ! and ?). Posting generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated; neither will flaming or abusing users in any way.

2. Spam, porn, money spinning, advertising, religious propaganda, illegal activities, and other similar material for personal gain and not related to the aims of the website, are not tolerated here.

3. All data you post is your responsibilty. Do not post personal details. We accept no responsibility towards any member using help or tips provided by this Forum, nor do we accept responsibility for any links from this Forum.

4. Please respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc.

5. Members are asked not to act as "back seat moderators". If members note an issue which contravenes something fundamental they are welcome to bring it to the attention of the forum.

6. The moderating team reserves the right to edit or remove any post at any time that contravenes our aims. Offenders will be warned gently at first, unless they are extremely offensive, in which case, they may be blocked from using the forum.

7. The forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging.

8. Membership is free, but members who have not posted in the last 6 months may be dropped. This does not mean that you are expected to write a lengthy message. A short,"Thanks for the help, guys. Keep up the good work!" will suffice. By making this small contribution, on a regular basis, we, the management team, will know that our membership is actually reading and learning from the group and that we are not wasting our time.
